Painting and letter
Peoples know each other and are distinguished by their arts and literature, and they are considered among the legacies that are transmitted across cultures and knowledge from one generation to another. Arab history has witnessed diversity in literature and arts throughout its eras, from the pre-Islamic era to the modern era, carrying within it many names of poets and writers who wrote the most beautiful verses and words, and in our time The present colors mixed to paint a picture of feelings expressing the insides of man and his secrets. From this standpoint, the Student Work Unit, represented by the Department of Cultural and Social Activities, in cooperation with the Activities Committee of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, and in distinguished partnership with the Gesft Association, organized an exhibition entitled (Painting and Letters), on the morning of Wednesday, the 24th. 4/1445 AH in the lobby.
It was opened by the College Vice Dean for Educational and Academic Affairs, Dr. Munira Al-Askar, heads of departments. The exhibition aims to combine the art of drawing and literary expression by appreciating the inner beauty indicated by the displayed paintings, and then drawing inspiration from poetic verses or expressive literary sayings.
The exhibition included different types of paintings, including drawings, photography, and Arabic calligraphy. The schools to which the paintings belong varied, ranging from realism, Syriac, abstract, and symbolism, in addition to a special corner for Arabic calligraphy and a special corner for direct drawing. It contained 16 paintings by male and female artists of the association.
