College of Education organizes a training program in continuation of community partnership entitled: “21st Century Skills”
In continuation of community partnership, the College of Education, in cooperation with Mathematics Section of the Education Office, Al-Kharj/Al-Dalam Education Department, organized a training program entitled “21st Century Skills” on Wednesday morning, 14- 3- 1445 AH, via Zoom.
It was presented by Dr. Sahar Abdo El-Sayed - Associate Professor of Curriculum and Mathematics Education in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction- with the aim of developing the participants’ skills in linking 21st century skills with the requirements of the labor market.
It also included the following topics:
1. Shedding light on the most important technical developments in 21st century in the field of education.
2. Explaining the justifications for the need 21st century skills in the education system.
3. Explain the classifications of 21st century skills.
4. Practical application to integrate 21st century skills into mathematics curricula.
5. The relationship of STEM methodology to 21st century skills.
A number of mathematics teachers at all levels of general education attended the meeting, and they expressed their great benefit from the rich topics included in the program.
