academic year: Two main semesters and a summer semester, if any. Semester: A period of time not less than fifteen weeks during which the academic courses are studied, and the registration and final examination periods are not included in it. summer season: A period of time that does not exceed eight weeks and does not include the registration period and final exams, during which the period allotted for each course is doubled. Academic level: It is indicative of the academic stage according to the approved study plans.

Study plan: It is a group of compulsory, elective and free courses, the total of which constitutes the graduation requirements that the student must pass successfully in order to obtain the degree in the specified specialization. Course: A subject within the approved study plan in each major (program). Each course has a number, symbol, name, and detailed description of its vocabulary that distinguishes it in terms of content and level from other courses. And a special file kept by the department for the purpose of follow-up, evaluation and development. Some courses may have previous or concurrent prerequisites or requirements. Study unit: The weekly theoretical lecture of no less than fifty minutes, the clinical lesson of no less than fifty minutes, or the practical or field lesson of no less than one hundred minutes.

Academic warning: The notice given to the student because his cumulative average is below the minimum set forth in these regulations. Quarterly Business Degree: It is the degree awarded to the work that shows the student's achievement during a semester of tests, research and educational activities related to the course. The final test: A test in the course is held once at the end of the semester. Final exam score: It is the grade obtained by the student in each course in the final exam for the semester
Final score: The sum of the works of the semester grades plus the final grade for each course, and the grade is calculated from the final stage. Appreciation: Description of the percentage or alphabetical symbol of the final grade obtained by the student in any course. Incomplete estimate: A course in which the student is unable to complete its requirements on the specified date, and is denoted in the academic record by the letter (L) or (IC). continuous: A grade is provided temporarily for each course whose nature of study requires more than one semester to be completed, and is denoted by the symbol (m) or (IP). Semester average: The result of dividing the total points earned by the student by the total units prescribed in the courses he studied in a semester. Points are calculated by multiplying

For the prescribed unit in the weight of the grade obtained in each course the student studied, (see Appendix B) Cumulative average: The result of dividing the total points obtained by the student in all the courses he has studied since joining the university by the total units prescribed for those courses. (see Appendix B) Overall rating: A description of the student's educational attainment level during his/her study at the university. Study load: The total number of hours a student is allowed to register for in a semester, and the maximum and minimum academic load are determined according to the university's executive rules.
