1- Introduction to the Department:

     Psychology Department is one of the main departments in the College of Education. The department was affiliated to educational departments, until it became independent on 4/1433H under the name Psychology Department.

 

     The department contributes in the educational and psychological preparation for the students. The study in the department focuses on delivering nine courses of the academic programs according to the college’s study plan. It also supervises the Guidance Diploma and its accredited courses. Moreover, the department teaches three courses in general diploma at the college.

Based on the Saudi Vision 2030, we are not worried about the future of our nation. However, we look forward to a brighter future, which we are indeed capable of making it - with the help of God - with its human, natural and acquired wealth, which we have been blessed with. We will not look at what we have lost yesterday or today, but we must always move forward.In this regard,  the Department of Psychology, which is one of the main pillars of the College of Education at Prince Sattam bin Abdul Aziz University, which works in conjunction with the other departments in the college, seeks to prepare, qualify and refine the character of teachers of public education in the Kingdom through bachelor programs and promote scientific research and personal development through participation in The Department of Psychology is keen to develop and expand. The Department strives to achieve its mission and objectives with all its potentials and energies, and to provide a range of psychological and educational services to all sections of the College through a series of teaching courses By teachers with a variety of experiences, which contributes to the provision of guidance and rehabilitation services in the fields of education and psychology.

3- Vission, Mission, and Objectives:

Vision:

     To be a regional leader in the consolidation of psychological knowledge and applications; upgrading in the different areas of life for researchers in the field of psychological and educational.

Mission:

     To prepare psychological and educational specialties of the College Education to keep pace with the recent and future needs in the labor market according to quality standards.

Objectives:

  1. Contribute to providing students with the basic knowledge in psychology and psychological counseling.
  2. Develop the skills of female students in the fields of educational assessment and methods of building standards, research methods and statistical methods.
  3. Raise the level of scientific, intellectual and psychological of the student to help her With her practical life and vocational career
  4. Understand the basic needs of students and work towards achieving them.
  5. Link psychology and community servics through applied studies and research.
  6. Expand the programs of graduate studies to qualify scientific cadres in the field of psychology.
  7. Encourage and develop scientific research and developing it through scientific research aiming at enriching psychological knowledge and providing appropriate solutions to behavioral problems.
  8. Deepen the Islamic concepts in various psychological decisions as a requirement and must that have to be emphasized and addressed.
