Mission
Achieving the desired quality and striving to achieve College's strategic goals, constant support is provided for implementing qualification requirements for academic and programmatic accreditation in graduate programs at the College of Education in Al-Kharj.
Quality and Academic Accreditation Unit Objectives
- Developing general strategies for implementing quality and qualification requirements for programmatic accreditation of all graduate programs at the College of Education
- Developing an integrated internal system for conducting continuous self-evaluation (self-study) for graduate programs.
- Assisting in developing and following up the implementation of improvement plans based on performance indicators measured within the programs or units of the College.
- Participating and collaborating with College departments in developing implementation plans to achieve the strategic goals of the College.
- Complying with quality assurance standards by providing technical and advisory support for the implementation of College's plans and programs.
- Following up and reviewing annual reports of programs and courses according to the forms of Education Evaluation Commission.
- Following up and reviewing files of the course for faculty members in the programs, and ensuring that it contains all contents according to its preparation procedures.
- Following up the preparation and review of performance indicators of graduate studies programs on an annual basis.
- Reporting the training needs to faculty members and administrative staff in coordination with the Deanship of Development and Quality and other deanships.
The Unit is responsible for developing the necessary plan for academic accreditation at the university level, monitoring the implementation of the plans and supporting all colleges and units in carrying out the tasks of academic accreditation, as well as establishing and disseminating a culture of accreditation in the university community.
Functions of the Unit:
1. Dissemination of quality culture in the faculty and academic departments.
2. Following up the preparation and compilation (programme description - programme report – Course description - Course report).
3. Following up the availability within the Section of a dedicated calendar and academic accreditation library with full programme documentation.
4. Periodic reports on the levels of performance in academic departments and the satisfaction of beneficiaries in each activity.
5. Visits to various units of the University to draw on their experience.
6. Documentation of efforts in academic departments and promotion of the Faculty's Undersecretary for Development and Quality.
7. Continuous collection of data and information on quality activities in the different departments and units of the College.
8. Giving and organizing lectures and workshops for college and university founders to promote a culture and deepen the concept of quality and accreditation.
9. Participation in training workshops organized by the University or the National Centre for Assessment and Academic Accreditation for up-to-date quality requirements and academic accreditation.
