The College of Education concludes the training program for the preparatory scientific forum
The Student Scientific Forum, organized by Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, represented by the Deanship of Student Affairs, is one of the most important activities and programs that seek to hone male or female students in their scientific life by developing their ability in various fields such as research, social responsibility, sustainable development, innovation, invention, and awareness films, which represent the themes of the forum. The ambition of students is to compete to obtain advanced positions, and the College of Education was keen to prepare its male and female students to participate in it through a training program that included nine courses covering all topics.
The training program was launched on Wednesday15-5-1445 AH with a course entitled: Creativity in Entrepreneurship presented by Dr. Sahar Abdo- Associate Professor of Curricula and Mathematics Education, within the courses on the axis of sustainable development and economic diversification, in which she discussed how to build entrepreneurial work from idea to implementation. Examples of ideas for entrepreneurship that participated in previous forums and achieved success were also presented. Advanced centers.
Then, on Sunday 5/19/1445, a workshop on awareness films was presented by: Dr. Maha Al-Abdulkarim, within the awareness films section, talked about the elements of a film’s success, whether scenario, dialogue, or characters, the types of films, the way they are presented, and the age group that suits each type of film.
As for Monday, 5/20/1445, it witnessed two sessions. The first was a course entitled: Entrepreneurship and Building Entrepreneurial Projects within the courses on the Sustainable Development Axis, presented by Dr. Hasnaa Al-Baroudi, Deputy Dean of the Deanship of Development and Quality, in which she discussed what is meant by entrepreneurial work, the bodies that support entrepreneurial work, and the most important difficulties and obstacles facing entrepreneurial work. One of the participants in the last forum presented her experience in entrepreneurship.
The second is a course entitled The Mechanism for Forming Volunteer Work within the Courses Related to the Social Responsibility Axis, presented by: Dr. Noura Al-Owaid, in which she discussed the concept of volunteer work, the entities that support its projects and its mechanism, and how it is beneficial and compatible with the regulations.
On Tuesday 5/21/1445, a course entitled Women’s Entrepreneurship and Vision 2030 was organized within the theme of sustainable development, presented by: Dr. Rana Al-Balawi spoke about entrepreneurship, especially related to women, and their major role in the economic market.
On Wednesday, 5/22/1445, a course was held entitled: The Mechanism of Preparing Research within the Special Courses on Scientific Research, presented by: Dr. Noura Al-Awaid, in which she discussed the stages of research preparation from the idea to its completion, the tools that help the researcher, and the things that he must avoid during the research stages.
The conclusion was on Thursday, 5/23/1445, with three courses: a course entitled Creative Thinking Skills within the courses on the innovation and invention axis, presented by: Mrs. Maha Al-Toais talked about the types of thinking, the factors that help to develop it, and the role of brainstorming in its development.
A course entitled Social Responsibility within the courses on the Social Responsibility axis was presented by: Dr. Noura Farraj Al-Dosari, in which she addressed the importance of social responsibility and the keenness of the wise government to spread its concept and the role of universities in promoting it, including Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University.
It concluded with a course entitled Mistakes in Writing Scientific Research within the courses on the scientific research topic, presented by: prof, Walid Al-Dosari discussed the most important mistakes that a researcher makes, including choosing the topic, its depth and breadth, and what is related to the title or research methodology, documentation, and other important matters for any researcher.
The Student Work Unit, represented by the coordination of the scientific forum, was keen to make the courses comprehensive for all topics, and the coordination extended its thanks to the College Dean Dr. Salman Sahoud Al-Otaibi, for his support of the program and his follow-up of all stages of the implementation of the preparatory forum and to all the faculty members who provided their knowledge of qualitative courses within the Training program.
